Jesús Barquín: Pale gold. Problematic nose, with unpleasant petrolly notes of burned rubber. The palate is better, serious and tight. Tasted blind, it is difficult to place a bid for the wine’s positive evolution. My rating is for how it shows now. 81
Andrew Jefford: Bottle 2: Fuller gold than most. Rather industrial aromas: clean, but reminds me of cleaning agents rather than resonant purity of fruit. Unlovely palate: soft, dilute, lifeless, and fruitless. 72
Richard Mayson: Deeper in color than its peers, ripe, subdued, and slightly toasted on the nose, with bruised applefruit underlying; surprisingly bracing on the palate, high acidity with a toasty backdrop but not much else. Short and a touch bitter on the finish, showing overextraction. 74
