SB | Straw-gold color. Ripe but not voluptuous peach nose, with a welcome delicacy. Broad and rounded, this is surprisingly open for a young Jurançon, but it's saved from heaviness by the striking acidity, which is not quite fully integrated into the wine. But these are early days, and the wine should be more harmonious in a few years. There's a welcome texture and chewiness that add complexity and grip. Perhaps a bit more clarity of fruit would have made the wine more vivid, but this still offers personality and pleasure. 92
AJ | Deep-toned, though not dark: a light gold amber overall. Sweet, but without a lot of honeyed intricacy behind. Ticks the box, but not much more. Aromatically, at least. On the palate, this is very sound, with beautiful, ripe, singing acidity, which shimmies out a power of apple and grape, slathered with caramel tang. There's an exciting dry-extract bite at the end. Super drink, concentrated and long; better on the palate than the nose suggested. No one will be disappointed by this, though it doesn't have ultimate finesse and it is coming into full articulacy already. 92
SR | This dark, amber-golden Jurançon offers an intense yet elegant and concentrated bouquet, with stewed-fruit aromas of quinces and stone fruits. Sweet and powerful on the palate, this is a rich and tannic, full-bodied and finely bitter Jurançon, which is sweet but drying a little. 87
