SB | There's a hint of cooked fruit, of apricot compote, on the nose, which undermines its purity and clarity. Only lightly sweet, this is a little anodyne, with perfunctory acidity that doesn't quite meld with the fruit. This fades quite quickly on the finish, which is surprisingly dry. 82
AJ | Bright gold. Creamy, fresh, delicate, and enticing, with very primary fruits and well protected from oxidation at this point. Lovely fresh fruits, with the emphasis more on the orchard than the tropical spectrum... plus a certain mushroomy aura that infuses all of the white wines down here. Well-defined and focused. Bright, sweet, rich, vivid, almost crisp at this stage; still to open up, but very pure and clean and pristine. Spot-on for the appellation, with restrained cream and honey drenching soft orchard fruits. Lovely stuff. 91
SR | This 2018 Pacherenc displays a clear, very intense yet noble aroma, with quite ripe fruit intertwined with notes of salted, dried yellow plums and discreet toast notes. On the palate, this is a rich yet refined, finely tannic but still pretty sweet Pacherenc, which reveals a fine mix of saline acidity and fine-grained tannins. This is a gorgeous wine and a great representative of this appellation! 92
