AK | A paler orange, which could still pass as a slightly coppery rosé. The nose promises a light wine, displaying the subtle florality of white spring blossom with a funkier low- or no-sulfur yeastiness, all accented with bright lemon. The palate is indeed light and bright, framed with subtly but pleasantly bitter phenolics that allow the floral notes to shine through. This is very animating, wonderfully easy to drink, and most appetizing. It will gain from being on the table, but this also grows on you sans food. Sadly, it finishes a little short. 88
FP | Turbid and somewhere between a delicate pink and light brown. Nice aromatic lift, with a tropical, almost-candied edge. Fresh and bright and really quite vigorous, with the tannin as a structural afterthought. It feels like it is pushing the boundaries of an aromatic grape; there is a lot of work here to try and get more out of the wine, but it retains a palpable sense of fun. 94
DW | Cloudy, pink-gold appearance. Aloe vera and Muscat on the perfumed nose; lots of soft, juicy substance, Muscat grape in full, sweet presence; very pretty, but I love the way the streak of pithy bitterness intersects with the floral, sweet Muscat-ness. Dry, but beautifully stitched tannins; intensity, length. 92
