AK | A lovely golden color has the merest hint of amber. Earthiness on the nose clouds the fine, citric, lemony verve that appears immediately on the palate. The body is vivid, but also has lovely notions of conifer smoke, earth, and a lovely depth. There is a lovely balance and elegance to this. Wonderful length on the dry, elegant, and complex finish—but with an echo of bruised apple. 90
FP | Slightly cloudy, with a dark straw color. Zing! Unusual in this tasting, as a wine that leans into an acid-based structure. Fresh and thirst-quenching, but not a great deal of aromatic intensity. There is some nice citrus on the nose, but it does not have a lot of definition. 90
DW | Yellow-gold and a touch cloudy. Aromatic nose of exotic fruit, a touch of litchee, some guava, and grapefruit; on the palate, bright and racy, with oolong and Earl Grey-tea tones, quite steely and tangy, into a long, steel-tipped, refreshing finish. 91
