AK | The bright orange in the glass comes with a most attractive and dark-pink glow. The nose is medicinal. There are distinct notes of lifted, ethereal herb—to me this comes across as conifer-like, crushed cypress needles, lifted mint, and a trace of lavender, even a hint of resin—very sexy indeed. If I did not know better, I might think this were vermouth, with all these chinato vibes... The palate is bone-dry, with an incredibly salty, delicious dimension and carries on that vermouth-like manner, but is much lighter. A most intriguing wine, sadly finishing a little short. Most alluring aromatically, though. 92
FP | Copper color that shades almost into pink. A confectionary stall of a nose: boiled red sweets and candied apples. The high-toned character and pronounced acidity keep everything in balance, but the aromatics give the impression of sour candy. Finishes on apple skins and quince. 88
DW | Dark, pinkish amber, could be confused with a darker rosé. Intense, attractive nose, with notes of basil, red fruit, and citrus; there's a streak of cherry and red-apple juice on the succulent palate, a hint of rosehippy bitterness nicely managed, and all a part of the whole; gentle, unobtrusive tannins; slightly fades on the finish; but very enjoyable, juicy, drinkable, and capable of doing a rosé job while providing much more interest and character. 90
