AK | In the color spectrum, this is caught somewhere between dark pink and earthy red: most attractive. The nose is disappointing, with a hint of pond water. The palate, however, is full of freshness and verve, bone-dry but also slightly earthy. This does not quite come together, despite the fine tannins. 87
FP | Light ruby color. An exercise in non-fruit flavors. There is lead pencil and a touch of cabbage on the nose, the austerity of which is matched by the tart-sour acidity and some drying tannins. Plenty of character, just not very charming. 86
DW | Looks like a light red or dark rosé in the glass; slightly funky and smoky, and it really does taste like a light red, too, almost Pinot-esque, with nimble tannins and bergamot and pomegranate and blood orange leading into a smoke and macerated-herb-infused finish. Confounding. 88
