AK | A slightly cloudy orange in the glass is followed by a nose that sports sun-warmed boxwood, dried orange peel, and fresh lemon balm. The palate is concentrated but light, and brightened by an incredibly mouthwatering verve of pure white pepper. The body is light yet structured, with a firm, fine tannic web, and a glorious freshness. The finish may be—I am not sure of this—a little mousy, but this does not prevent my enjoyment of it. Sadly, the finish is short. 90
FP | Cloudy copper in color. Biological flavors dominate here: sauerkraut and dill pickle. There is some boiled cabbage character, too. The structure is dominated by tart acidity and there is only the faintest tickle of tannic astringency on the finish. Really quite sour, in a grapefruit-juice sort of way. 75
DW | Cloudy amber appearance. Immediately attractive wild-strawberry and raspberry nose; deep and inviting. The palate repeats the strawberry motif, and there's freshly milled white pepper, before it tapers into attractive citrus-pithy bitterness, with succulent tannins; a lovely, plump feel to the palate, great length, vitality, and autumnal softness, too. 93
