AJ | Deep, dense black-red. Warm, refined and classy, with an ease and sweet, exotic refinement which takes the drinker aback in a year (like 2019) when all is curranty purity. It's built on a core of pure fruit for all that. Ample, round and structured, with firm tannins and a savoury back-stop; chunky yet well-defined Pauillac for the medium term. Notflamboyant in style, but very satisfying and drinker-friendly.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2034. 92
MS | Discreet to smell, subtly gravelly, an immediate impression of finesse, a hint of new wood; medium full, fresh in acidity, finely tannic; restrained, elegant, fine textured Pauillac, freshly, vitally ripe to taste, long and close grained and refined, aromatic, gently racy and discreet, with a lovely, almost delicate aromatic persistence. A particularly polished, refined and complete expression of the Cru. Will need a while … Drink Dates: 2030 - 2040+. 93
