AJ | Dark, dense black-red. Refined, graceful and fine-drawn aromas, with clean lines and aerial grace. Lots of blackbird-song charm. (MIght even sing in the dead of night.) The prettiness of 2019 on show here. That 'mini-Margaux' style is apparent on the palate, too: bright, light, sustained, darting, all gathered up into a dew-drop point of sweet-acid excitement.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2032. 91
MS | Muted at present, but a gravel element clear, and nicely persistent; medium full, fresh in acidity, moderately and finely tannic – a lovely Cantemerle, Margaux-adjacent in style and balance; long and even and elegant, gently and sweetly ripe fruited to taste, succulent across the palate and with fine fruit and aroma length to finish. Excellent Cantemerle, needing time, but likely to be rewarding medium to long term value. Very nice indeed.Drink Dates: 2030 - 2045+. 92
