AJ | Dark black-red, not quite opaque at the core. Warm, savoury and exuberant aromatically, though with less fruit freshness leafy, floral notes than many of its peers. Evident oak, too. Vivid and full in that broader style that the aromatics sketched out; there is plenty of singing warmth here. Sound and satisfying wine, though not the most Margaux of Margaux[s].Drink Dates: 2024 - 2029. 89
MS | A lightly savoury / herbal character to the nose, a faint gravel, but an underlying background of ripe blackberry Merlot; medium full, supple yet fresh, a light dry tannin, attractively balanced in a slightly sturdy style; a juicy core fruit here, both sweet and brisk, moderately complex, tastily dry in texture, and with good light length; tasty rather than refined, but a very attractive Pouget, with a Margaux elegance and restraint of proportions also clear. Drinkable soon, but no rush either. Drink Dates: 2025 - 2035+. 91
