AJ | Deep black-red; opaque at the core. Chunky, rich, almost kinky; this smells of dimple-ripe fruit. Exciting but not necessarily a grand classic. On the palate, too, it is a bit lurid and unsteady on its feet, without great fruit purity. Fine tannins, by contrast.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 86
MS | A lovely, fragrantly sweet, noble herbal tinged nose, subtle and persistent, and which should make a lovely bouquet; full, nicely concentrated, fresh and finely tannic, an excellent balance in its fuller style; rich yet restrained, long and fine and close grained to taste, mouthcoating, aromatic and racy, a real sense of breed, of thoroughbred refinement, complex and fine, very prolonged across the palate, always graceful and with excellent perfumed length. Lovely classy warm vintage Pomerol. A wonderful core of sweet fruit. The slightly dry tannins will need a bit of time.Drink Dates: 2030 - 2045+. 94
