SF | Deeper galleon gold, with hints of amber. The nose is forward, strident with a pleasing juxtaposition of beeswax, Mirabelle plum and cantaloupe melon.... the palate is relatively simple, with the buttery semi-tropical notes feeding into the sugar, the sugar itself integrated into a fairly loose structure, which tapers away quite quickly, leaving one sighing for more and marginally disappointed after the confident messages sent out by the wine's appearance! 88
AJ | Deeper gold than its peers. Rather torpid aromas: honey, but wet hay too. Whiff of green ginger. [Squat glass bottle with glass closure, so perhaps a different evolutionary trajectory here.] Not wholly alluring at this stage. A rather oily style, texturally speaking, with mid-weight sugars and more of the damp wool or moist hay to offset quite a citrussy sweetness. Another wine which I'd drink as an apero or with cheeses before too long.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 86
