SF | Deep near opaque colour, smoky, blackcurrant, a hint of after eight mint; very ripe , well made with fine, yet robust tannins. Varietal personality seems subsumed by the weight of aspiration, however; fortunately the aspiration is well focused and elegant. Power on the finish here. Power to the people. Wait at least three years for this one. 92
DW | Enticing nose: ripe but defined with lots of cassis and an essential fresh that hints at greenness without being in anyway underripe; layered, fruit-filled palate that tapers to a long, bright raspberry-ripple and dark chocolate finish - with chocolate the abiding sensation in the ripe but fresh finish. In sum, this is a ripe style which retains Cabernet Franc's essential lipsmacking/mouthwatering qualities.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2034. 93
AR | Deep coloured, bright, vivid and youthful, this shows initial spicy notes but above all super-ripe dark berry fruit aromas, and initial impressions follow through with some opulently juicy blackcurrant fruit, that might almost be overwhelmingly ripe if it weren't for the restraint of some underlying herbal notes, mouthwateringly refreshing acidity and grippy tannin that holds the fruit, babe in arms like, before releasing its to crowd-pleasing applause on its journey down grateful throats.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2031. 92
