SF | A dark sea of colour, hardly betraying nearly a decade of ageing; composed minty nose, dark fruit, a touch of umami and an intriging note of soy, or even seaweed on the back. Enough to distract from what appeared to be a fairly straightforward , high class statement of Right Bank flamboyance. Savoury elegance dominates at the back of the palate and the finish is deeply satisfying. 93
DW | Coffee grains and oaky-toast, the fruit has a slight toffee-ed quality, too: there's something a little disjointed, here, an absence of middle-palate flesh leaving a gap between the slightly shrill acidity and the weight of the oak.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 87
AR | Still youthfully ruby for a wine of ten years of age, the bouquet is now beautifully evolved mingling dark fruit with a sweet, nutty oak spiciness; and there's lot to like here when you taste the fruit, which is ripe to the point voluptuous textured sweetness and thanks to its evolution softening down too and settling into its balanced stride as it continues on its merry way carrying aloft sweetness and savoury umami in equal measure before dissipating satisfyingly on the tongue.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2032. 94
