SF | Soft ruby hue, quite watery at the rim. A composed nose, sloes , cherry and wild strawberry; behind that white pepper and a hint, the merest hint, of vanillin... the palate takes a turn towards rusticity, the acidity domineering, both fruit and tannin submissive and a slightly off-putting spritz adding complication. 89
DW | Although not hugely complex, this is charmingly pretty and succulent; red-fruited with slinky, suave tannins and just a hint of sappy crunch: light and pulsing with life and tangy fresh acidity and a not inconsiderable strawberry and cherry cordial finish.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 90
AR | Youthful and vivid in its ruby hue, this is so young that it's still a tad shy, a tad blunt in its aromas, and yet there does seem to be something Cab Franc about it, a certain freshness and underlying herbal character perhaps; it's a nicely made dry red with no overt oak and a lively, supple-textured juiciness of red fruit flavours, pretty accessible for one so young, and commendable for its balance, elegance and drinkabilty, even if i';s perhaps too young for much in the way of secondary characteristics to emerge.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 90
