SF | Medium ruby, with a nose dominated by sour cherry, chalk dust, dried herbs and fruits of the forest, the latter also starting to dry a little! An inference of volatility is confirmed on the palate; the struture thereby somewhat compromised, with less intensity and less purity and a slightly curtailed length. 89
AJ | Dark but translucent black-red Sweet, warm, fleshy and more aromatically diverse than many of its peers, with gentian and orris root as well as blackcurrant and sloe. Herbal, attractive. Juicy, fresh, lively, energetic, sappy and true, this is a four-square, knife and fork Dao which would make an excellent introduction to the region. Accessible and rewarding, if lacking just a little refinementDrink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 90
RM | Mid-deep and still youthful with lovely restrained berry fruit fragrance just emerging on the nose, similarly fresh but tight-knit on the palate with pronounced acidity and tannic astringency but there is charm and finesse aplenty. Perhaps just needs a bit more time.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2036. 94
