SF | Impressive garnet colour, crepuscular at the rim. nose of autumnal leaves and boiled meat, a hint of the littoral , too, as in seaside vistas; delicate, slightly saline, smoky , charming. Holding up nicely. 91
AJ | Dark black-red, just off opaque An affable, mature-red aroma: settled, with some attractive tertiary perfumes On the palate, an impressively dense, vibrant wine, still, with a fine core of ripe and articulate fruit. The acidity remains in balance and there are still tannins to support the fruit; little bitterness now (the bitter qualities seem to dissipate with age). Fine drinking and in very good shape for a wine nearing its 20th birthday.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 91
RM | Deep centre, thin browning rim; smell redolent of bovril on the nose with the fruit fading; fresher initially on the palate with firm fruit but this is now lacking in definition and fading on the finish.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2027. 87
