SF | Deep vermillion at the core, with a distinct pink at the rim. Nose of wild strawberry, plum and forest floor, behind that bitter chocolate and fig. The palate is dense, a little clumsy, with layers of fruit and tannin and a syrupy inclination which obscures any proclivity to self-expression from varietals and region alike. Perfectly competent but maybe a little too ponderous. 88
AJ | Dark, dense black-red Sweet cherry and dried cereal grains; some raisins too. Sweet-sweet overall. And then always the shock of all that acidity hitting you after such a sweet nose. This is a very two-tone wine in that sense, but it is clean and well-handled.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 86
RM | Very deep, nearly opaque in colour; dense, intense black cherry character on the nose and on the palate, firm, tight knit and quite powerful yet retaining sappy cherry freshness which emerges on the finish. Needs time to open and soften but very convincing overallDrink Dates: 2026 - 2036. 92
