SF | Medium straw with flecks of green; spring flowers on the nose, chamomile and verbena...classic Fino intensity, almost marmite, almost sweaty; a more robust muscular style ....aldehydic rigour and an almost tannic crescendo, not actually tannins of course, but the grip is powerful, and holds its own all the way down the palate. 92
AJ | Bright, clear gold. Warm, clean, freshly and athletically yeasty/flor-rich. The gingery power of Jerez! Just a touch sweaty, too. Concentrated and driving, palate-filling after the Manzanillas, and all-flor in terms of its profile and flavour. Zero off-notes here; very satisfying. Just a touch brutal and monolithic, but in certain contexts this might be an advantage. Shock and awe of flor.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2025. 90
DW | Inviting richness and roundness, very luxurious, creamy, deep, silkily seamless ... immensely charming and suave, yet retaining some crucial element of yeasty tang for drinkability and tangy length.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2025. 94
