BB | Pale garnet to tawny. Super elegant, defined, mineral, salty, small red fruits, blood oranges, sweet tobacco, fresh and dried herbs nose. Medium to full body, inviting, elegant, long and mineral. A classic Sangiovese that is drinking well now but will age gracefully.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2035. 96
AJ | Glowing dark black-red, but amply translucent now A little disappointing here, as if it was over-filtered: a sense of the wine being held back, of a slight grey-out; though universally, of course, it is warm, glowing and way above the norm. We are just in elevated company. Tangy and bright, with lots of pleasure sewn into this straightforward, fresh and lively wine from a great vintage.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2032. 88
MP | With notes of coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate, griottes, tomato leaf and cut grass this combines ripe fruit with an herbaceous edge. On the palate the oak and ripe fruit start to make friends and the balance, notwithstanding the obvious oak, is surprisingly good. The finish combines the fruit and structural elements to great effect with a long finish and wonderful complexity. This is discreet, finely judged Brunello.Drink Dates: 2027 - 2035. 96
