AJ | MId-depth of black-red. A higher-toned aroma than many; lifted redcurrant and pomegranate fruits with warm tar/hot roadstone. Generous, warm, boisterous, with ample drive from those warm fruits; admirable concentration. It is at the ripe end of the spectrum but on the palate there is plentiful backing acidity so no problem of overall balance at all.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2031. 90
MP | Medium garnet colour with a gentle nose encompassing blackberry, hawthorn, liquorice, wild rose and pomegranate. It's discreet and complex with a broad range of textbook Montalcino notes. The palate is similarly layered yet discreet with finely etched tannins and layers or red and black fruit intermingled with floral and spicy notes.
