EA | Deep lemon gold colour. The overt nose is showing some evolution too, wood, fireworks, pear drops, dried fruits and acasia honey. Strict and brisk on the intense palate of racy tartness to it. Nice juiciness and salivating mineral freshness on the long-lasting linear finish. There is a mild charred woody marker to the ending. The fine acid structure is this wine's best feature.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 92
SF | Sallow, pale, almost watery; not much by way of mousse; the effervescence, when it comes, is surprisingly soft, playful, the fruit notes more closely approximating gorse, greengage and braeburn apples. The respite is brief however, as the taut , unforgiving acidity is soon amongst us, hitherto unyielding, despite the age, hard, therefore, to devine the development, the road to be travelled from there? 88
AR | Mid-gold in colour, this is showing quite an array of evolved, secondary aromas, tending towards the savoury rather than sweet even if there is a honeyed note in the background; there is some attractive sweet / savoury stone fruit flavour in the middle, and it soon turns to savoury thanks to a linear streal of tangy acidity that helps the fruit along its journey from tongue to throat; on the drier side towards the finish, there's plenty of appeal here.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 90
