AR | Good youthful ruby just starting to shade to garnet, this shows an attractive, inviting fragrance, lots of red berry fruit and a savoury herbal undertone; the immediate impact on the tongue is of sweet ripe red berry fruit that caress through suppleness soft texture, a feeling that this has spent enough time in larger oak to soften down and even melt in the mouth in a sensually satisfying way; a traditional feel in a positive sense, it's a what's not to like Brunello. MP | An obvious nose showing stewed black fruit and obvious oak notes. There is prune, fig, date, blackberry and black cherry allied to caramel, toffee, cinnamon and vanilla. This fleshy, generous red offers plenty of short-term enjoyment when the mix of high alcohol, obvious oak and very ripe black fruit can be appreciated for its charming immediacy.
