Overview

SF | Ancient iron colour, dense, foreboding, forbidding. A neat St Estephe nose; gravel, licorice, bitumen and cardamon. The theme of austerity translates equally well to the palate, which underlines the spicy notes, white pepper and clove to the fore, but also the inherent qaulity of the fruit, which is dominated by a pure and resonant cassis. Behind that pipe tobacco, petrichor and an autumnal grip. An accomplished illustration of how this property has been transformed by its new masters. Drink Dates: 2031 - 2046. 93
