AJ | Dark, dense black-red, still opaque at the wine's core. Fresh, fragrant, light, lifted and leafy: lots of forest and meadow here, and it is this you notice more than the tender fruits. Very graceful overall nonetheless. The acidity is very dominant on the palate, and although this is also a wine with significant wealth of structure, I worry slightly that it won't expand into pleasurable amplitude later. But if you have a taste for forest-fresh classicism, this may be the wine for you. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2037. 87
SF | Deep ruby, onyx at the core. the a delightful nose which captures all the aromatic potential of a cooler year; herbs, spice, red and black fruit and a hint of nutmeg and sage. The palte is broad and generous, Langoa benevolence and Langoa grip, with finely hewn tannins gliding across the palate with dexterity and a firm, elegant finish. Drink Dates: 2029 - 2041. 93
