AJ | Saturated deep black-red; still opaque at the core. Warm, fresh and lively, with the classic mixed but sweet ripeness profile of the vintage. Lively and fresh but still on the grassy side, and woefully short of the level of most of its peers. Sorry, but I can't ever see a way to enjoy this if anything better was on offer. SF | A gem-like ruby character, shining bright! The nose is a little more enigmatic, spicy and complex, with dark fruit and damask roses both evidenced. Chalky tannins smother the fruit at the moment, but one can easily discern a red fruit character which has both pure and neatly accomplished.
