AJ | Deep black-red, though some way off opacity. Very soft-focus and rather leafy aromas; some clear herbaceousness here. This is a soft wine with gentle tannins, impressive volume and an open style -- and that's great; the problem is that the fruit (despite what I'm sure are huge efforts) is fundamentally green, and this just takes away the fun. Drink Dates: 2026 - 2029. 84
SF | Ruby red, inky at the core. The nose is a litel reduced at first and one has to wait and/or search for the latent dark fruit character. The palte is neat of composition, with a leafy Cabernet Franc honesty held in neat counterpoint to the lively Merlot. An elegant glissando down the gustatory scale. The finish is pure and refreshing. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2033. 87
