AJ | Deep black-red though translucent rather than opaque through most of the tilted glass. Soft, sweet-hued though unfocussed aromas in which warm vegetal notes mingle with tender red fruits. Attractive at first but the in-glass evolution after 10 minutes isn't encouraging, as the vegetal notes seem to gain the upper hand. It's still a young wine with development ahead, though. The palate is slender and relatively austere, though it has concentration and Medoc Cabernet is always complex. An early-drinking Charmail. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2032. 84
