Andrew Jefford: Violet charm over shapely, focused blackcurrant. Far better balanced than La Carelle, with real wealth and depth and rounder acidity. Plump tannins provide some substance and chew; the concentration and sap of the vintage is evident; and some of that violet fragrance returns to haunt the finish .
