Stephen Brook: Very pretty nose, with delicacy and charm. Understated now, but poised. Rich and broad for Auslese, moderate acidity, sumptuous and somehow atypical for Mosel. Blunt finish, lacks raciness and length. 14
Margaret Rand: Vivid, fresh, light, and taut, with lovely balance and finesse. Flowery, mineral—absolutely classic wine. Not very sweet—much more an apéritif or a wine for fish; not a dessert wine. 16.5
Jancis Robinson: Relatively deep green-gold. Still unevolved with some sulfur evident but obviously with much still to emerge. Green-leaf and currant-bush aromas—very springlike, with quite a bit of weight. Just a little stolid. Drink 2010–18. 17
