Alison Buchanan: Deep mahogany-tawny to amber rim.Rich, liquid raisin character on the nose with some citrus fruit lift allied to caramelized nuts. Palate rich and cream-textured—caramelized oranges complementing dried fruit compote. Unctuous, but with some refreshment. 14

Jesús Barquín: Medium to deep chestnut. Very primary. The nose strikes with an impression of overall youth for its color. The palate confirms this youth, with dates and dried fruit, backed by good acidity, but some alcohol has yet to integrate. 15

Julian Jeffs: Normal color. Powerful, penetrating, varietal nose. Good, viscous mouthfeel. Intense flavor, with fair length. 16
