Alison Buchanan: Jet-olive-mahogany in hue, this presents a very somber, brooding, earthy nose with cedar and tobacco making an appearance alongside the usual aromatic suspects. The palate is silky, creamy, and ripe, unctuous and sensual; the finish is slightly hollow and dusty. 17

Jesús Barquín: Light mahogany. The nose shows some dampness, confirmed by the palate, together with up-front licorice notes that dominate the finish. Alcohol is well integrated, but greater liveliness on the palate would be welcome in the mouthfeel. 16.5

Julian Jeffs: Shows more age on the nose than on the palate. Agreeable balance but little length. 12
