Alison Buchanan: Rich, deep, prune-mahogany in color, this exudes rich, old-Sherry notes, some treacle, toffee, dried-fruit compote, and carmelized nuts. There are some bitter, citrus notes that might jar or add welcome contrast, according to personal taste. They certainly add complexity. Again, the opulence that starts the attack and dominates the mid- and back-palate, slightly gives way to a more sinewy, toffee finish. 16.5

Jesús Barquín: Mahogany, opaque. A PX exhibiting finesse and balance in moderately old age, especially on the palate, which is long and harmonious, but not particularly expressive or complex. 15.5

Julian Jeffs: Deep color, good nose, but tastes distinctly of toffee and is short. 10.5
