Alison Buchanan: Deep, olive-tinged, aged mahogany in hue, this has a very appetizing nose—fresh and exuberant, with real personality. The palate, similarly, is rather exhilarating—upbeat, citrus and stone fruit refreshing the undeni Alison Buchanan: ly unctuous raisined character. Caramel notes dominate the end of the palate and a dried-raisin finish. The finish is not short, but the fruit drops off a little. 16

Jesús Barquín: Deep chestnut, almost opaque. Notes of Oloroso, of rancio (stale) wine, against a backdrop of raisins, with some dampness that becomes more pronounced on the fairly hot palate. 13

Julian Jeffs: Deep color. Good varietal nose. Short and unimpressive finish. 12
