Alison Buchanan: Limpid pale gold. Much more steely with a refreshing purity, some white currant notes and ripe pure fruit. The palate, like the nose has a lovely purity and a fine focus, bright fruit enriched on the mid–palate and underpinned throughout by a mineral flinty character. Refined, poised and intense – very fine. 16.5
Alex Hunt: Classic grass, elderflower and mineral aromas; fairly light. Richer than expected on the palate; in fact, there seems to be some residual sugar here that gives a slightly curious sweet–sour balance. Enjoyable, though. 14
Andrew Jefford: Pale water–green–gold. Sweetly leafy. Relatively simple; attractive. Intense, vivid, sweet–edged, exuberant, unpretentious…yet with a long finish and an assured sense of style. It’s probably not fine wine, but you’d have to have a mouth of stone not to enjoy it. Lark–like and happy. 14.5
