BUY THE WINE

Alison Buchanan: Green gold in color, this has a very attractive herbaceous, white currant intensity on the nose – very pure. The palate reflects the nose, though it is perhaps less focused initially. Greengage, gooseberry and apple elements are laced with shades of grapefruit and underpinned with high–toned minerality. 15.5

Alex Hunt: Sweaty–flinty nose, probably due to sulfur, and more vegetable than fruit in aroma. Some residual CO2 fails to disguise the rather lifeless palate. 11.5

Andrew Jefford: Appealingly bright green–gold. Sweet, fresh and herbal: vivid and enticing. Intense, zesty and deep, with a breadth to it missing in some of its peers. Lots of acidity, but very ripe acidity giving length but purity and density too. The grassiness is somehow dissolved very appealingly into the marrow of the wine. A really toothsome, enjoyable classic. 16.5
