BUY THE WINE

Alison Buchanan: Pale yellow–gold, this has a lovely, enticing nose, combined gooseberries, cream, honey, minerals and steel. The palate reflects the degree of ripeness shown on the nose – richly textured and full. The orchard fruit is ripe and opulent and coats the palate whilst gentle acidity and crushed stones give definition. Focused, intense and alert, this is a lovely wine. 17.5

Alex Hunt: Overripe tropical aroma, held in check by a seam of minerality. A big, rich style but with extremely piquant acidity. While this has guts and vigor, it lacks harmony. 13.5

Andrew Jefford: Mid gold. Oddly Chardonnay–like, with notes of sweet custard. Surreal. Lots of (un–Chardonnay-like) acidity here, but little length or breed or aromatic potential. Flat–lining. 10
