Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby, some development; garnet, touch of brick. Soft, smooth aromas, quite ripe, but not over-ripe. Touch of smoke. Sweet tannins, nice balance; elegant, smooth, mature, some wood smoke. Well balanced. 16
Gerard Basset: Medium-deep ruby. Quite pronounced nose. Blueberry and some notes of green pepper. Restrained structure but well balanced; black fruit and wild spices; medium-long finish. 16.5
Anthony Rose: Medium ruby, youthful color; sweet blackcurrant on the nose, with a touch of vanilla oak, nicely integrated; quite intense, ripe, sweet, red-fruit flavors, juicy and forward textural quality, very much drinking now; well made, attractively fresh, though starting to evolve nicely, with the concentration and balanced fruit for short- to medium-term aging. 16.5
