Tim Atkin: Mid-purple/ruby. A little development at the rim. Leafy, grassy, green pepper, touch of wood smoke. Some chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Good acidity, refreshing, very Cabernet-like; possibly a little alcoholic and ponderous. Also, not sure this will develop in bottle. But good in a dry sort of way. 15
Gerard Basset: Deep ruby. Pronounced nose. Red and black fruit, floral, and also green pepper. Foursquare, ripe texture, young red fruit on the palate; medium-long finish. 15.5
Anthony Rose: Deep youthful ruby; light, herbal, capsicum tinge to the nose, as if an element of Cabernet Franc or cool-climate style, or both perhaps; good, rich cassis-fruit concentration, very well made, with delicate herbal notes suffusing the dark fruits and chocolaty sweet flavors; still youthful, with quite firm, muscular tannins, but a feeling that these will soften, given time, into a stylish red. 17
