Tim Atkin: Very, very dense color. Supercharged. Big, ripe, lots of oak, almost an Argentinian-style red. Spicy, rich, supple tannins, good concentration, lots of savory fruit sweetness. Minty, sweet oak, very New World in style. Plum and chocolate, with some mint. Well-made wine. 16.5
Gerard Basset: Deep ruby-garnet. Fairly open. Plum tart, espresso notes. Powerful structure, ripe tannin, mocha and black fruit; medium-long finish. 16.5
Anthony Rose: Deep color; ripe, sweet nose; powerful, sweet rich fruit, opulent and concentrated black-fruit flavors; quite chewy tannins, rather firm acidity, powerful alcohol: over-the-top structure for the fruit. 14
