Tim Atkin: Deep color, some brick at rim. Smoky, leafy, some green pepper to the fruit. Dry tannins, firm, high acid, burned rubber drying out the fruit again. Firm, quite dry. Would have been better three years ago. 10

Gerard Basset: Medium garnet. Fairly pronounced cassis with cigar box. Lively, with ripe tannin, black fruit and cedarwood in the mouth; medium finish. 15.5

Anthony Rose: Ruby garnet color; hint of V8 celery/tomato leaf on the nose, nicely integrated vanilla oak; quite capsicum-like Bordeaux-style fruit, good concentration and nice juicy supple tannins, fresh acidity, good balance and texture, albeit underlined, and not totally undermined, by that slight V8 capsicum edge to it. 16.5
