BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Deep color, bright rim. Developed nose, slightly raisiny, tomato-skin notes. Palate, soft yet dry. Fading fruit. Masked by tannin. Better when younger? 12

Gerard Basset: Medium-deep garnet. Reasonably pronounced red fruit with herbal background.Lean and slightly astringent, black fruit, medium finish. 13.5

Anthony Rose: Medium ruby; quite spicy/smoky aromatic character; ripe and concentrated dark berry fruits on the palate, quite chunky but evolution starting to soften the tannins now; very nice fresh acidity, good juicy blackberry fruit quality suffused with spice and vanilla; well-made juicy fruit quality with an elegance and freshness that makes this wine very attractive, albeit needing the right food. Drinking well now and for the short to medium term. 17
