BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: High alcohol, quite developed for a 2007. Some rubber on the nose. Ripe, leafy, some chocolate, but the tannins are drying out the wine, as are the burned-rubber notes. High alcohol, yet green, with a feral, dried-out finish. Not nice. 6

Gerard Basset: Medium ruby. Pronounced nose. Green and leafy on the nose. Lively and juicy, young berry with marked green pepper; medium finish. 14.5

Anthony Rose: Dense, youthful ruby hue; lightly herbal, minty undertones on the nose; rather unpleasant green character that runs through the fruit, not particularly pleasant, but equally the tannins are rather grippy and dry, so overall an unattractive Cape red. 10
