Nicolas Belfrage: Color code 6; bright gold. Quite citric on the nose: lemon peel or orange peel. Acidity is very low, though, and one is left with a ponderous sweetness. 12
Michael Edwards: A similarly styled wine to [San Lorenzo a Bibbiano]. 15
Jancis Robinson: Orangey tawny—quite transparent. Fairly volatile but lots of sweetness on the palate. Refined and tangy, perhaps fading slightly. Some slightly raw acidity. Recognizably Vin Santo! Drink 2004–14. 17
Franco Ziliani: Very fresh, light, brilliant, golden sunny color. Dry, with dried bitter-orange and almond notes on the nose. Delicious and surprisingly sweet on the palate, with great freshness and vitality and a marvelous balance between sweetness and freshness, thanks to perfect acidity that gives energy and a long finish to the wine. Honey, apricot, fig, and orange on the palate, with the warmth of the Tuscan sun. 15.5
