Bruno Besa: Ruby to pink. A touch closed on the nose; youthful, perfectly clean and transparent red fruits, chalky, herbal, and nutty, with sour cherries, raspberries, and cranberries, raw meat, crushed stones, and fresh herbs. Silky palate, super-refined tannins, perfectly defined red-fruit character, and a long—in fact, very long—mineral finish. A wonderful Barolo that just needs time to develop its earthy complexity. 97

Andrew Jefford: Bright, clear red. Light and lifted, but not particularly multidimensional. Sweetly attractive nonetheless. Fresh, vibrant, and lively, but lacks a little wealth and amplitude of fruit and aromatic finesse (compared to the very high standard set by its peers). It is sound, well-constituted, and satisfying wine nonetheless. 88

Michael Palij: Lovely, meltingly inviting aromatics, with cranberry, pomegranate, red currant, and sour cherry all evident on the nose. There is no obvious oak to distract from the intensity of primary fruit, with a lovely pot-pourri of dried herbs, citrus peel, stone fruit, and a delicious, savory note. This is not a wine of great concentration, but it shows exemplary balance and lovely length. Drink to 2030. 95
