Bruno Besa: Light garnet to tawny. Clean, intense, mineral, crushed chalk, sour cherries, road tar, rose water, herbal nose. Medium body, a beautifully sweet red-fruit palate, mineral and inviting, with a long, weightless finish. Just a touch lean. 92

Andrew Jefford: Clear, bright garnet red. This is very fine: fragrant, lifted, graceful, charming, packed with aromatic resource ... complete. Super nose, as subtle as you like—and enchanting. Bright, fresh, dancing, incisive. Relatively dry, without a wealth of tongue-coating fruit, but very energetic and diverting in the brightly aromatic style. 90

Michael Palij: Intense nose, curious as one swaps to Serralunga, the ante just seems to go up: here there is more of everything structural and it’s kind of a refreshing change from boring old cherry-fruit aromatics. This has precision and poise, with dusty yet grape-derived tannins, layers of fruit, and a gentle but persuasive finish. This is a lovely example of how the heat in 2017 could be tempered to create a thing of genuine beauty. 94
