Essi Avellan: Pale color with peachy hues. Purely fruity, appealing, no-fuss nose. Baked apple, apricot pie, and yellow-plum notes. Round, fleshy palate, with soft, expansive mousse and medium-long finish. 89
Simon Field: Stucco color, a hint of pink; the bead garlands the side of the glass. The nose is assertive, breaburn apples, lemon posset and smoke; the red fruit is rejoined , pleasingly, on the palate, spice and hints of pepper.....the dosage seems a little high, however, not cloying but just enough to distract from the purity of intent. The finish is thereby slightly compromised, which is a pity, everything else being highly promising.... 90
Anthony Rose: A very pale onion-skin in color, signifying Pinot, most likely both Pinots in fact, this has an alluring aroma combining in equal measure sweet berry fruit and light, toasty complexity; there’s some highly appealing ripe-strawberry fruitiness in the mouth, cushioned by a lively stream of fresh bubbles whose sweetness is closer to ripeness than off-dry residual sugar, but there’s no doubting the crowd-pleasing nature of this mouthwateringly juicy, balanced, fresh fizz. 93
