Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Very floral nose, marzipan, supple and racy, delicate and unctuous, acidity adds freshness, discrete energy but not stiffness. Very Cheval, very 2013. | 18
Michael Schuster | Mineral and gently ripe-fruited to smell; particularly refined proportions, a medium-full wine, with a moderate depth of fruit, a satiny tannin, and a fresh acidity; sweet and vital in flavor, delicate but not weak, long to taste, intense without being strong, delicate and powerful at once, great transparency of fruit, and great fragrant length. Much in common with fine red Burgundy, if not quite its absolute sweetness. The minerality, too, is different, as is the tannin grain. Deliciously accessible early. 2018–30. | 18
