Michel Bettane: Some green in the golden and very pure color; a refined Barsac-like nose, very elegant citrus undertones, with wonderful purity great breed. 18
Thierry Desseauve: Very gold color and very rich wine, creamy, broad, and powerful; less fresh than Caillou. 18
Michael Schuster: Deep orange-gold; still fairly closed on the nose, but also dense, complex, waxy, citrus-zest edged; a concentrated, noticeably structured wine, with a firm acidity, still lightly marked by its faintly drying new-wood tannin; very sweet and very rich, but also long and taut and vital to taste; tight and closed as yet, but with great tenacity of flavor and complexity across the palate, and with a long, ringing, minerally aftertaste. A dense, firm, weighty, powerful Climens, with a marked botrytis complexity, though it is currently a sleeping giant. Ideally needs at least a decade to mellow, relax, and show its paces. 2022–40+. 18.5+
